Who We Are?

Bahir Dar Textile Share Company was founded in 1961 by the Italian government grant to Ethiopia as war compensation. Its headquarter is in Bahir Dar (a tourist destination convenient town in northern part of the country), with branch at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The company crossed many milestones in textile sector which utilized organic cotton a lonely row material. 

We maintain high standards through certifications such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100, ISO 9001 Quality Management, and Environmental Management System compliance. Our production capacity includes:

Spinning: 15,000 kg of yarn per day

Weaving: 50,836 meters of fabric per day

Processing (Dyeing/Finishing): 82,964 square meters per day

Garment: Up to 10,000 bed sets per day
